The Village of Mayville serves as the Chautauqua County seat, rich in county history and government.  Situated at the north end of Chautauqua Lake, it is a natural gateway to the lake.

Mayville is one of the fastest-growing arts, dining, and entertainment communities on Chautauqua Lake.  Widely known for boating, fishing, a bluegrass festival and a summer concert in the park series, it is also home to the largest winter festival in Western New York – featuring constructing of a large ice castle each February, an ice ball, snowmobiling, and other winter recreational activities, and is quickly becoming a year-round destination.

Nearby, the world-renowned Chautauqua Institution provides a nine-week summer program featuring a rich blend of educational, arts, history, and religious programming.  Chautauqua becomes a thriving summer colony each year, featuring top name entertainment as well as theater, opera, dance, recreation, and a full schedule of educational opportunities, as well as grand hotels and accommodations, golf courses, tennis, and more.

Chautauqua Lake is also surrounded by rolling hills, rural countryside and woodlands.  Around the lake, there are numerous small villages and communities, including two thriving Amish settlements.

  1. Camp Cody has a reputation for providing our campers with a wonderful, unplugged camp experience. We also support their school PTA’s and home communities by actively participating in fundraising events, and joining local community fairs.

We’d love to support and bring extra excitement to your President’s Day Weekend Winter Festival by bringing fun activities for children to enjoy. We provide a free, fun and safe entertainment for children who might need supervision. We do this with different set-ups, including a portable Gaga Pit, a great s’mores station, spike ball, face-painting and other activities.

We’d like to explore the possibility of joining your President’s Day Weekend Winter Festival for families and others we serve in your community, in collaboration with you.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this, and look forward to hearing back from you.

    Thank you,

  2. Am looking for dates and activities for 2017 Mayville Winterfest but do not see it on any sites. This is January 2, 2017 Shouldn’t you have it advertised by now? I live in Erie and have many friends that are interested.
